Time pass - 2

Why do women have more fashionable clothes than what men have? You go to any store, women have more things to buy when compared to what men have. Its mostly in one corner, mostly the back corner, that men's stuff will be kept for display. Is it because women are the big shoppers and that's why the stores have more goods for them or is it because there are more women goods and that's why there are more women shoppers?
Even in the case of fashion, women have more fashionable dresses than what men have. Women have so much variety in their dress. But men have just trousers, shirts and T-Shirts. Also the colors used for the women's dresses are more vivid colored than men. Men are stuck with Black, Blue, White, Grey and Green mostly (I am not counting fans of Govinda, Ramarajan and Gabdain in this list).

KK ,Interesting post! your grouse against women clothing is some ways valid,I would say women are more fashion conscious and more into shopping he hee:)

when it comes to choice of colours going by today's fashion scene for men and women,Men too have taken up to being metrosexuals, who are no longer colour blind ;) they have started experimenting with wacky& wonderful world of fashion & playing around with all colours, it's fun to be creative and open to new ideas.KK, don't you think,Men should stop complaining and start saturating their wardrobe with new trendy universal colours to be worn with flair without being tied down to a limited palette of shades..:)

example: pink, violet ,yellow and red..;)

    Have a great day!!!

Now coming 2 ur post, its cos women love to dress up & beautify themselves! And dont mind spending that addln amt in decking up themselves! Wheareas for men like u said its just another blue or black or grey shirt or trouser...so y waste that money on a dress instead of a beer?! ;)

    Thats the attitude.

However this time when I went shopping in India, I was totally amazed to c the wide variety of choices fr men. Some are indeed so lovely but needless to say quite expensive! So u watch out when u r in India next & have fun shopping! :) I cud help u if needed just for a small commission!!! ;)))

Great qualities like Love, trust, beauty, sincerity, truthfulness, compassion, sympathy, service, sharing, authenticity are all feminine. In a conspiracy to prove that the she is weak, he has to condemn all the feminine qualitiee, which had resulted in painting herself in various forms and shades. This, I believe makes her to look for external agents to veil the so-called weakness.

    aaha...enna oru million dollar question!
let's see, if men's clothing had to get fashionable, then may be add some frills here and there ....may be a few streth shirts (!), pleated shirts, trousers can be knee high, or even shorter (barf!)...and may be go the scottish way and like they wear kilts, men world over can adopt skirts, that gives a lot of options u see....and in the indian scene u could have various veshtis as in padayappa veshti, pudhupettai lungi, chandramukhi jeans (like women have their saree collection). ur wallets can get a little more fashionale, to match the dress u're wearing...jeellery...hmmm...how about gold buttons and cuff links?
but guess what, somehow when u are dressed in this full ensemble, men might look like they're on their way to a gay night club LOL!
sometimes things had better remain the way they are....did we women evr question why we dont fancy (as much as men) monster trucks, roaring engines??...thats the way things are, perfectly balanced...else u'd have husband and wife fighting over an outfit, as to who would wear it to dinner tonight :D

Good question. And you are right. Women certainly have enough choices. So atleast now got the reson why they shop for long time than guys.

That may be true, that women purchase more, that's why they have more women wears. Men's can have little to wear, but we look smart with it:)

    Hi KK
    been away for a bit..
in india now i think men spend more on clothes and accessories than women do. and shoes. men's shoes are lot more expensive and i think the average male seems to own at least 20 pairs. now that's just shoes and chappals... but still more number than our sandals, flats, wedges, sneakers, stilletoes, pumps, flip flops, etc etc. same goes with number of clothes. and talk about men's beauty parlors... or should i call them salons. they are all over the place.

hehe .. i watched discovery once.. with a documentary about a theory on these things...

its like cave-women went food gathering .. liek fruits so they had to choose the right colour, right shade, right texture, right ripeness etc.. they had plenty of choice and they chose one

and cavemen went hunting.. they saw an animal big enough to feed.. they threw a spear, captured it, dragged it home, not much choice there.. :P

    hence our shopping habits :P
